Downloading The Files
I thought I paid, but I didn’t get to a download page! I can’t download my purchases!
If you pay with your PayPal balance or a credit card through PayPal, you should be able to get your books immediately. Our shopping cart sends you an email with a link. When you click on the link, it will ask you to save or open the file.
But it does occasionally happen that customers won’t receive the download instructions or get forwarded to the page after purchasing. Not to worry! All your information is saved to your account. Your transaction isn’t lost forever! Before you contact us, try these things first:
- Log in to the shop at http://shop.raythereign.com/wp-login.php. Use the username and password you checked out with. Once logged in, you should be able to download the books that you purchased. They are saved to your account. You should see a download link for each of your orders.
- If this doesn’t work, check if your transaction has actually gone through if you can. Log into your PayPal account to see if your purchase shows up. If it’s still “pending” or waiting for an e-check to clear, the account system may make you wait until the transaction completes. You will not be able to download your ebooks until after the payment has cleared.
- Sometimes, the email you put into the shop and your PayPal email are different! If you have trouble logging into the shop, check to see if you’re using the right email.
Still no luck?
If you are still having trouble with your account, do not dispute charges on PayPal. Contact us directly — we can help you get your books. PayPal can’t. Furthermore, PayPal keeps a record of your charge dispute history and it may reflect badly on your account. PayPal also gives very slow support.
But we don’t! Raythe Reign’s tech support is here to actually help you. We are real people who will answer your questions, usually within 24 hours. Please email our tech guy. Be sure to let us know which file you need, and which format.
Will I receive the files as attachments in my email after I purchase the manga?
No, the files are too big. You will receive a confirmation email with links to your purchases. If you click on the links, you will get a dialog box asking you to save or open the files. Save the files first, and then open them from your hard drive (or transfer them to your e-reader device.)
I couldn’t save the files the first time! How can I try again?
Log in to your account on shop.raythereign.com. Your login is not the same as your Raythe Reign membership account — they are separate systems and need separate account information, unfortunately. View your order history or purchases, and you should be able to download the files again.
My download was supposed to be in Mobi, ePub, or PDF format, but instead it’s something weird like zip.gz! I can’t open it at all!
It sounds like the download did not complete. Log in to your account on shop.raythereign.com and view your order history, or simply click on the download link that you received from us again. Once the file saves all the way, it should appear as a format you recognize! If not, send us an email.
Creating Accounts, Logging In, or Checking Out
Why can’t I check out as a guest? Why do I need an account?
If you don’t have an account, you won’t be able to re-download your files if something goes wrong. We know it can be annoying to have to create yet another login and password, but having you set up an account makes it a lot easier to help you if anything happens to your ebooks.
An account with the shop is not the same as a Raythe Reign monthly membership account. Please see the next question.
I tried to use my Raythe Reign membership login for the shop, but it didn’t work!
The shop is a completely different system, and you need to create a separate login. We are unable to tie the two systems together at this time, unfortunately.
How does the checkout work?
We use a shopping cart and accept PayPal. You do not have to have a PayPal account to pay with PayPal — you can use a major credit card, like any other online shopping system.
After your purchase is complete, a pop-up should appear asking you to save or open the file. You will also get an email with links that you can click on to get your files. Save the ebook on your computer, and transfer it to your e-reader if desired.

Formats and E-Readers
I’m confused about the different formats. Which one do I need?
Mobi (Mobipocket) works on all types of Amazon’s Kindles, including the older ones. Be aware that the graphic novels might be hard to read on a smaller-screen Kindle if you can’t pinch to zoom. In this case, we recommend going with a PDF instead. Mobi is not officially supported for any Android device. If you have a non-Kindle Android phone or tablet, use ePub.
ePub is for almost all dedicated digital readers, including Nook, Sony readers, Kobo, iPad / iPhone, Android phones (Google phones.)
PDF works on any device with Adobe Reader. When in doubt, go with a PDF. You will be able to read it on any computer.

How do I get my volumes onto my Kindle or other e-reader?
You will not be able to get the files automatically delivered to your e-reader as you can with Amazon’s “Whispernet” service. Please do not use your kindle.com address for the email, because this will not work. You will not receive the files.
Instead, you have to “side-load” the files onto your device using a cable that connects your tablet or phone to your computer.
First, be sure to save the book on a laptop or desktop computer. Even if you don’t have an e-reader, you can still install software on your computer to read ePub or Mobi files. Most e-readers are connected to a computer with a USB cable, where they will show up as external drives or devices.
After saving the books on your computer, connect your device to the computer using the cable. The device will usually appear as a separate drive on your computer, and you can then transfer your ebooks onto those drives.
When you are transferring files on to your Kindle, you sometimes have to put them in a special folder, such as “Documents” — see these instructions for the different Kindle formats.

Raythe Reign Membership Questions
Are these book series the exact same ones on the membership site?
No. What you see on the membership site are serial versions, and those are very different from the finished novels. Turning a serial epic-length story into a book (or book series) is a lot more like novelizing a TV show or comic book than rewriting a second draft. Even the manga gets edited and redone for the stand-alone volumes.
I have a Raythe Reign membership coupon? How do I use it?
The coupon is a code of letters and numbers. To use it, go to the signup form on our membership site here:

Choose the proper option and enter your coupon code in the last blank on the form. The coupon code should be applied, and you will get a deal for the membership period you signed up for!
Why isn’t a trial membership totally free?
Our software won’t let us create a membership without it costing at least one penny. This is our workaround.
